For children to thrive they need the knowledge about online risks, but also the confidence and skills to say no, ask for help and know when something isn't right. By building these skills, in an age appropriate way, from KS1 we can help more children be confident, responsible and happy digital citizens now and in the future.
Building their resilience alongside their critical thinking skills is key as they move up through school and inevitably get more time and exposure online. Through sharing our workshops, resources and time with children, parents and teachers, we want to reduce the number of negative and dangerous experiences children have online, the number of cyberbullying or online safety incidents that schools have to deal with and improve the mental wellbeing and safety of all children.
For real impact to be had we need parents and carers on board and involved in all areas of online safety. It can be a challenge for schools to find the time and resources to run online safety sessions with parents and carers. This can lead to opportunities to inform, support and empower your parent and carer community, being missed.
With options of in-person or online talks being delivered to your school community, combined with the flexibility to tailor the content to your needs, our parent and carer sessions are a fantastic way to have more impact in keeping children in your school safer, healthier and happier online.
